Freedom of speech is a pivotal part of American democracy because it allows for full
participation from the people in important matters of society.
This freedom is protected by the ultimate law of our land in here the United States, the US Constitution, yet what we are witnessing today is an online politicide of conservatives by social media groups and Big Tech through censorship and defamation, directly violating our laws.
George Washington once said, “If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.”
The accounts of well-known patriotic conservatives such as Mike Lindell, Sidney Powell, General Flynn, and even our great President Trump have been removed from Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram after being labeled as “hate speech” or “in violation of company policies.”
Everyday Americans who share pro-freedom content are getting fact-checked, suppressed, and those posts labeled as false information.
The actions of these private companies should send a loud and clear message to all freedom- loving conservatives. “Your message is not welcome here and we will silence you.”
Conservative organizations are swimming upstream to get their viewpoints out because their reach is limited or de-platformed altogether.
Despite these unjust abuses of power by Big Tech, we must keep in mind that they need us more than we need them. As Edmund Burke stated, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
We cannot allow tech titans to suppress the America First message or intimidate us into being silent. We cannot let the current climate of our nation to cause us to feel defeated. We are only defeated when we throw our hands up and stop fighting.
So, in what ways can conservatives win on this digital battlefield?
Many conservative groups, including Virginias for America First have moved to platforms like Telegram which support independent views and information. The great American patriot Mike Lindell is set to launch a brand new free speech platform (to be called VOCL) in a few weeks which is said to be a hybrid of Twitter and YouTube.
Moving to other platforms that support free speech is a double edge sword against Big Tech tyranny. They lose business and can’t control the narrative anymore. We must show them that we, the silent, law-abiding majority, will not support them if they violate our God-given rights.
Patriots must continue to make educated decisions when it comes to spending time online because so many tech giants have chosen to support a radical political agenda and employ authoritarian control over content.
When more Americans unite against online censorship by limiting or refusing to do business with companies that violate the constitution, it will cause a domino effect inspiring more and more people to do the same. Instead of cancelling us, we will cancel them. The power is with the people.
